## About

I’m a concierge sports chiropractor in Los Angeles. My patients are athletes, founders, and people who want the second half of their life to move like the first.

I spent years inside luxury wellness. I watched people spend thousands on cold plunges, red light, and supplements, then sit ten hours a day and wonder why their back still hurt.

## The ATLAS Protocol

ATLAS: Annual Total Longevity Assessment System

The ATLAS Protocol is a structured movement evaluation. It puts numbers on where you stand, and the plan starts from there.

ATLAS is my assessment system. It also happens to be the name of the first cervical vertebra, the one that holds up your head. We measure before we prescribe. No guessing.

- **Body composition scan** (muscle, bone, and fat): A clinical scan of body composition: muscle, bone, and fat, measured region by region. The objective baseline every later change is tracked against.
- **3D movement analysis** (movement analysis): Markerless motion capture on a sixteen camera array. How you squat, hinge, balance, and move, measured in three dimensions rather than eyeballed. Muscle isn't just a strength organ, it's a sensory organ.
- **Strength and force testing** (strength and force): Strength and force testing: what you produce, how fast you produce it, and whether left and right agree.
- **VO2** (cardiovascular capacity): Cardiovascular capacity: how much oxygen your heart and lungs actually deliver when the work gets hard.
- **Partnered diagnostics** (imaging and bloodwork): Full body MRI and bloodwork, drawn and read through clinical partners, and interpreted alongside everything above.
- **Health review** (the prescribed plan): An integrated clinical summary, walked through with you, and a prescribed program to start on.

## Journal

- [Do I Need an MRI or an X-Ray for My Pain?](https://www.drrodantesaballa.com/journal/mri-or-x-ray-for-pain): Most people who ask for an MRI or X-ray do not need one. A sports chiropractor explains what he checks first and when imaging is the right call.
